505 | _aTable 1 gives an overview of the figures reported by various associations, journals and institutes for the wind power capacity installed world-wide in 2005. The comparison shows that there are considerable differences in the figures given for some countries. One reason certainly is the method of registering the newly installed wind turbines (WTs). In some surveys, all of the wind turbines sold in 2005 are counted, in others the wind turbines actually installed, differentiating again according to turbines connected to the grid or not yet connected. The figures given in this article, as in the previous years, refer to the surveys carried out by BTM Consult. | ||
