505 | _aTo determine the offshore long term wind conditions basing on offshore measurements the measured data have to be correlated to long term data. This is required also for the data from the FINO research platform, if these data are intended to be used for wind farm energy yield estimation in the German Bay. DEWI has performed investigation of meteorological long term offshore data and is working on time series correlation procedures. In the following the results of investigation of onshore-offshore correlation are presented and the relevant effects are described. It turns out that usual correlation methods fail, if they do not consider the temperature induced effects. | ||
