Design of pump ranges for water transport

Sulzer offers several single- and double-stage, axially split pump ranges for water transport. For example, the SMD single-stage pumps are used for standard applications and the HPDM pumps for high-head applications (especially pipelines). When developing these pump ranges, Sulzer applied new design methods that allow a high level of standardization along with high reliability, a compact design, and superior hydraulic performance. Thanks to the reduced number of components and the increased interchangeability, customers benefit from lower inventory levels and from faster delivery of replacement parts
