Multiagent models for GUI development, such as Modelview-Controller (MVC) and Presentation-Abstraction-Control (PAC), are used for structuring the architecture of interactive object-oriented systems. This approach enhances the construction of OO distributed software by preserving the separation of the semantic, or functional core, from the presentation aspects of the system. A system architecture is characterized using a distributed PAC model, and then it is applied to designing OO distributed systems
