Recommendations for Improved Acceptance of Wind Farm Projects in France with Regard to Acoustic Noise

From the consideration of the various acoustic issues that are raised by wind farm projects, the similarities and differences of approaches and methods used in France and in Germany are reviewed. Recommendations to the acousticians, to the wind turbine manufacturers, to the developers and to the operators are derived with the objective of improving the acoustic quality of wind farm projects and their acceptance by the population.
