EEG 2014: new framework conditions for wind energy use in Germany

Since its introduction in April 2000 the Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG) has provided planning reliability for renewable energy projects in Germany. Thanks to the statutory feed-in tariff established in a binding form for a period of twenty years after commissioning (plus the year of commissioning), investments in renewable energy plants could be calculated on a sound basis
