Laying and sensing odor markings as a strategy for assisting mobile robot navigation tasks
After observing the use of odor by insects for navigation and location, the authors have developed an odor marking and detection system for mobile robots. Such a system will provide the basis for investigating the use of odor markings as an aid to mobile robot navigation
