A design pattern of a framework to handle transactions and dynamic object-binding in CORBA-based architecture is presented in this article. The pattern shows a framework built on top of Component Broker, the IBM CORBA product for enterprise-wide deployment. The framework pattern is designed for IT systems with information servers serving many clients, and data retrieval is the main concern. Transactions must only be handled by the server application. In addition, the pattern presents solutions for the retrieval of objects bound to abstract interfaces from legacy persistent data stress. The framework pattern form a part of a framework-oriented application's architectural design of a CORBA-based IT system
