Due to aerodynamic reasons the high power coefficients of big wind turbines can hardly be achieved by small wind turbines. Nevertheless even the power coefficient of small wind turbines can be optimised by applying a sophisticated blade design. So the Reynolds number and the lift-drag ratio are growing into particular features and become considerable bench-marks for the efficiency of small units.
