Von 5 kW auf 1,65 MW in funf Jahren, die neuen megawatt-anlagen auf dem DEWI-testfeld

Five years after the inauguration of the DEWI Test Site the first Megawatt turbines are installed. A Vestas V66 (1.65 MW) and a NORDEX N60 (1.3 MW) will be followed by three additional turbines in the Megawatt class. The wind conditions are monitored by means of three mobile meteorological masts up to 70 m and a fixed mast where the wind speed is measured at five heights up to 130 m. The times where the 3 MW turbine AEOLUS II located close to the test site felt lonely is over now. Together with the earlier installed wind turbines the total installation reached 4.675 MW and there is space for three additional MW-turbines.
