Multiple connections in data communication and advanced applications

In this paper we define new concepts that extend the traditional notion of session in layered architectures, and we study how they can cope with the new requirements that advanced applications may need. Second, we define a logic-based model that allows the description and the reasoning about nested sessions. Finally, we show the modification imposed on the session layer in order to manage nested sessions
