Good prospects for an optimised utilisation of sites through repowering
As onshore sites for new wind energy projects are becoming increasingly scarce, the realisation of "repowering " projects will become more and more important for the future development of wind energy in Germany. In this article the repowering potential will be investigated with regard to the size of wind turbine generator systems (WTGS) and the regional distribution of sites that are particularly interesting for repowering.
